BAYOHBAHB, Phil Torres's second full-length, is the work of almost six months spent recording -- recording at his home in Durham, as a litter of foster cats romp over cords; in the cool summer cellar of an historic mansion in rural North Carolina, on borrowed mandolins and banjos; in Ithaca, alongside friends; in New York and Maryland, alongside family. More daring in scope than his self-titled debut, BAYOHBAHB ranges from colorful electronic pop beats, to richly harmonic folk and world music-inspired choral arrangements.
